"everybody deserves clean water"

PROJECT BASE H2O aims to give clean water to hundreds of thousands of people,
through distributing Wings 4 Water Filters to communities in need around the world.

WINGS 4 Water filter

As simple as it gets. No more digging wells if there is a water source, no constructing sand filters, and no more purification chemicals. No one has to boil their water to make it safe ever again. Families are able to set up their filter literally in minutes to almost any locally found container (bucket not included). The gravity-operated filter and fast flow rate mean anyone, anywhere can have clean water in a matter of seconds.

Life saving technology

Access to clean, running water is something that most of us take for granted; and yet across the world, water-related diseases affect more than 1.5 billion people every year. The Wings 4 Water Filter is able to clean over 1 thousand litres of water per day.  A single filter can easily be shared between 4-6 households and has a lifespan of over 3.75 million litres when maintained.

PROJECT BASE H2O, in partnership with Water Charity (a 501 (c)(3) non profit based out of California), aims to distribute these filters, educate the communities in their use and help to provide clean water for those in need.

In 2015, PROJECT BASE H2O raised funds and provided:

  • $9,000 for clean water projects

  • $3,000 for school furniture

  • 5.10 Hiking boots for The Simien Mountains National Park Guides

  • One World Futbols for 4 local schools

PROJECT BASE also became the first in the world to wingsuit BASE jump inside the Simien Mountains National Park.

Our story

June 2014 - Sam Hardy had an idea - to be the first in the world to fly within the Simien Mountains National Park, Ethiopia. Nate Jones was immediately onboard and threw another idea into the mix - why not support the local communities in the area they wanted to explore?

And so PROJECT BASE H2O began.

Nine months later, March 2015. Sam and Nate became the first people in the world to wingsuit in the Simien Mountains National Park. For this mission they raised USD $12,000 via online campaigns and local fundraising in Chamonix, France; which was 100% invested into the local community, providing both longterm access to clean water and improvements to local schools.

Mission Ethiopia was a great success inspiring Sam and Nate to search new missions around the world.
